What Christ University’s MBA is
Christ University, formally CHRIST (Deemed to be University), began as Christ College in 1969 and was declared a deemed university under Section 3 of the UGC Act in 2008. It is NAAC-accredited with an A+ grade. Its School of Business and Management has run the MBA since 1994, and NIRF ranked Christ University 57th in Management in 2025 and 60th in 2024. Because it is a university, its MBA is a degree, not a diploma.
| Programme | Format | Where |
|---|---|---|
| MBA | Two years, six trimesters; specialise from the third trimester | Bengaluru campuses, Lavasa (Pune), Delhi NCR |
| MBA + MBA, THWS Germany | Dual degree; one year’s work experience required | Bengaluru Central Campus, then Germany |
| MBA + MS, Virginia Commonwealth University | Dual degree | Bengaluru Central Campus, then the USA |
| MBA + MBA, Western Michigan University | Dual degree; 12 months in the USA | Bengaluru Central Campus, then the USA |
| MBA (Executive) | Two years, four semesters; classes on weekends and other days | Bengaluru Central Campus |
The six MBA specialisations are Finance, Marketing, Business Analytics, Human Resource, Lean Operations & Systems and International Business. Christ University has four campuses in Bengaluru — Central, Kengeri, Bannerghatta Road and Yeshwanthpur — plus Lavasa in Pune and Ghaziabad in Delhi NCR, and the university, not the student, decides which campus an admitted MBA student joins. The MBA is a day-scholar programme; residence halls exist for students from outside the city, but no hostel fee is published, so ask before you budget.
Admission 2027: eligibility, tests and dates
Admission to the 2027 MBA runs through Christ University’s own selection process. Session I forms opened on 5 September 2026 and close on 24 January 2027. You need a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% in aggregate; final-year students with 50% so far can apply if their final exams fall between March and June 2027. No work experience is needed for the MBA itself.

On top come a non-refundable ₹8,000 registration fee and a refundable ₹10,000 caution deposit. The Karnataka and Indian rates need the last seven years of study in Karnataka or India; the Karnataka rate is the actual fee payable, excluding the scholarship amount. The fee is fixed for two years but may see a periodic nominal increase. Dual-degree students pay the partner abroad as well: €16,500 in three instalments to THWS, or three instalments of about US$12,059, US$8,856 and US$2,930 to Western Michigan University, plus an estimated ₹8.5 lakh in US living and travel costs.
The programme fee quoted with each batch’s placement results has risen from ₹7.70 lakh (2021-23) to ₹8.05 lakh (2022-24) and ₹9.40 lakh (2023-25).
