SVKM's Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering (DJSCE), Mumbai Admission 2026: Cutoff, Fees & Placements

DJSCE publishes first-year B.Tech fees for Academic Year 2026-27 on an institute fee structure sheet (Principal signed 19 May 2026) and confirms Institute Level Seats (ILS) on notice No. N-1/2026 dated 20 May 2026. Figures below are from those documents — not aggregators. Note 8 on the fee sheet states that fees for Institute Quota, CAP-Open and CAP-GCLM (Linguistic Minority – Gujarati) are identical.

The fee sheet notes that tuition and development for several reserved categories are reimbursable through the Government of Maharashtra via MahaDBT when eligibility holds. If reimbursement does not arrive, budget the OPEN difference until accounts confirm otherwise in writing. Caution money is printed as a one-time refundable deposit. Payment instruction on the sheet: Demand Draft payable at Mumbai in favour of “DWARKADAS J SANGHVI COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING” — confirm the live payment mode on your demand note before you travel.

Outstation families routinely ask what a Vile Parle / JVPD year costs beyond tuition. That is a fair question. On the August 2026 captures used for this page, we did not find a dated AY2026-27 boys/girls hostel + mess tariff table we could sum-check against an institute PDF. Inventing a “₹1.5–2.5 L living” band would be fabrication — the previous stub on this route did that, and those numbers are removed.

A CAP seat at 03199 does not automatically mean a hostel bed. Until the institute confirms allotment and a written package for your year, keep a separate housing buffer and treat it as unknown — not as a silent multiplier in a four-year “total cost” claim. Compare housing uncertainty the same way you would on VIT Mumbai when a campus publishes fees but not a verified hostel tariff.

Read this as an estimate. The fee sheet prints first-year totals. It does not state that the same TOTAL applies for every subsequent year. We will not silently multiply and present the product as the college’s figure.

For EMI planning, start from the median package printed for A.Y. 2025-26 (₹11,89,000) only after you understand it is a batch graphic, not a personal offer letter. Loan sizing still needs your own branch, category fee row and living arrangement in writing.

Maharashtra figures below are State-Level Open (GOPENS) Stage-I closing merit numbers from the State CET Cell CAP Round I cut-off PDFs, with the printed percentile in brackets. CAP status lines for DJSCE print Un-Aided Autonomous Linguistic Minority – Gujarathi. Lower merit number means a tighter close. Minority applicants should also read the MI column — it is a different seat pool, not a synonym for “easier Open”.

Historical closes are not next-year guarantees. Compare on the same list with VIT Mumbai, PICT Pune and PCCOE Pune rather than mixing percentiles across institutes or treating MI as interchangeable with GOPENS.

DJSCE publishes placement materials under Placements, including an A.Y. 2025-26 package summary graphic and a department-wise placement records graphic. Figures below are transcribed from those institute-labelled visuals. A highest-package poster naming individual offers (for example Rubrik at ₹1.6 Cr CTC and IMC Trading at ₹1.2 Cr CTC for Batch 2026) illustrates the printed highest — it is not a median for the batch.

Placed (679) plus Higher Study (208) exceeds Interested & Eligible (731). Treat those as separate columns the institute printed — not as mutually exclusive buckets you can turn into one “placement percentage” without the institute’s own denominator definition. For EMI maths, prefer the median ₹11,89,000 over the ₹1.60 Cr highest, and still ask T&P for branch-wise fixed-pay detail if you are sizing a large loan. Older stub figures on this route (for example a ₹56 L highest or ₹10.34 L median labelled as prior-year “expected”) are not carried forward without a matching institute document for that year.

Seat counts below are from the State CET Cell institute summary for code 03199. Lock the full choice code from the live option form — programme names on marketing pages are not substitutes for CAP codes.

Computing weight is high: CE, IT, CSE-DS, AI&ML, AI&DS and CSE-ICB together account for 780 of the 1,140 regular seats. That is why CE/IT/CSE-DS closes dominate most preference-list conversations for this code — and why Mechanical and E&TC still matter as float options when Open CE is out of reach. Linguistic Minority (Gujarathi) status shapes MI seat pools; it does not change the OPEN/GCLM fee total on the 2026-27 sheet.

First-year B.Tech seats for Maharashtra, Minority and All-India CAP move through the State CET Cell process. Institute Level Seats follow the institute’s ILS notices and still use the same ₹2,29,625 total printed for 2026-27. The sequence below is the counselling path that decides a CAP seat.

1. Entrance and registration. Appear for MHT-CET and/or JEE Main as required, then complete CET Cell registration and document upload.
2. Minority documents (if claiming GCLM / MI). Linguistic Minority – Gujarathi claims are document-gated. Carry the certificates the CET Cell brochure and institute checklist require — fee Open/GCLM parity does not mean the MI seat pool is automatic.
3. Option form. Add DJSCE programmes using full choice codes from institute 03199.
4. CAP rounds. Read freeze / float / slide rules in the CET Cell Information Brochure before accepting.
5. Fee payment. Pay the TOTAL for your printed category from the AY2026-27 sheet (OPEN/GCLM ₹2,29,625 unless a concession row applies and is approved).
6. Institute reporting. Carry the allotment letter and the CET Cell brochure document set to the Vile Parle (West) campus address on the fee sheet footer.
7. Hostel (optional, separate). Confirm tariffs and allotment in writing — this page does not invent a hostel total.

Documents checklist

Campus address on the fee sheet: Plot No. U-15, JVPD Scheme, Bhaktivedanta Swami Marg, Vile Parle (West), Mumbai 400056. Confirm the reporting counter on the allotment letter so you do not confuse DJSCE with another SVKM campus.

Most avoidable seat losses happen after the merit is already good enough. Freeze / float / forfeiture rules come from the Maharashtra State CET Cell for the cycle. They apply to 03199 the same way they apply to VIT Mumbai, PICT or PCCOE.

Build the preference list assuming you may be allotted any 03199 code you ranked — including Mechanical or E&TC — then freeze only when that branch and the matching fee row are acceptable. Do not treat a historical CE GOPENS close near merit ~1,700 as a personal guarantee for next year.

Mumbai computing shortlists often put DJSCE next to other Maharashtra CAP institutes. Keep the comparison on the same year’s Round I list and the same fee sheet year.

Also weigh COEP and Walchand Sangli if government-aided economics matter more than a Mumbai West location. SPIT remains a common neighbour in conversation; until that route is rebuilt to the same official-source standard, prefer comparing DJSCE numbers to indexable peers above rather than to unsourced SPIT stub copy.
