SIBM Pune at a glance: four programmes, three fee schedules
one institute, four programmes, three fee schedules, two selection processes.
- Founded 1978, the first college under the Symbiosis Society.
- Constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), established under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
- Moved 2007 to its hill campus at Gram Lavale, Tal Mulshi, Pune 412115 — 44.87 acres.
- Parent university: re-accredited NAAC A++, awarded UGC Category-I (SIU letterhead, Notification No. 1483, 10 October 2024).
- Not an IIM, not state-affiliated. That decides how you get in and what you pay.
| Programme | Duration | Intake | Selection | Academic fee per installment |

- MBA specialisations: Marketing · Human Resource Management · Finance · Operations and Supply Chain Management · Data Analytics.
- Executive specialisations (major and minor): Marketing · Finance · Operations & Supply Chain · Analytics & Information Technology. A specialisation may not run if fewer than 10 enrolled students choose it.
- I&E, launched 2014: Creativity and Problem Solving, Design Thinking, Lean Start-up, Entrepreneurial Finance. A project every semester, live start-up projects, prototypes, entrepreneurial internships.
- I&E support: Symbiosis Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (SCEI), a technology incubator supported by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
- SCEI offers mentorship, seed funding, co-working space and investor networks.
- E-Cell (earlier the Innovation Council): business-plan competitions, start-up conclaves, E-Summit, and The Grand Pitch. The institute states The Grand Pitch (2024) generated ₹22.5 crore of funding.
- Rankings: rank 11 in Management, score 67.90 (NIRF 2025); rank 13 (NIRF 2024).
- NIRF sanctioned PG two-year intake: 300 for AY2023-24 — consistent with MBA 240 plus I&E 60.
Eligibility and reservation, programme by programme
50% in graduation everywhere (45% SC/ST); only the Executive MBA adds work experience.
| Requirement | MBA | MBA (I&E) | MBA (Executive) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Qualifying degree | Graduate of a recognised University / Institution of National Importance | Same | Same |
| Minimum marks | 50% (45% SC/ST) | 50% (45% SC/ST) | 50% (45% SC/ST) |
| Final-year candidates | May apply; admission subject to obtaining 50% (45% SC/ST) | Same | Not stated on the page |
| Work experience | None stated | None stated | Min. 1 year full-time after graduation, as on 31.05.2026, in a registered firm, company, industry, educational, government or autonomous organisation |
| Selection | SNAP + GE-PI | SNAP + GE-PI | Personal Interview only |
| Intake | 240 | 60 | 90 |
Reservation, as printed on the MBA and I&E pages:
- Within the intake: SC 15% · ST 7.5% · PwD 3%.
- Above the intake: Kashmiri Migrants and Kashmiri Pandits / Kashmiri Hindu Families living in the Kashmir Valley (Non-Migrants), 2 seats per programme; International Students 25%.
- Because the international quota sits above the sanctioned intake, it does not reduce the 240 domestic MBA seats.
- The Executive page prints no reservation table. Ask in writing rather than assuming the full-time rules carry across.
The 2027 admission calendar: every published date
25 November and 12 December 2026 are two separate registrations — miss the second and you never reach the shortlist.

| First merit list declared | 26 February 2027 |
| Last date to pay fees against the first merit list | 13 March 2027 |
| Programme commencement | 2 June 2027 (MBA and MBA (I&E)) |
- The MBA and the MBA (I&E) publish the identical calendar.
- 26 February to 13 March 2027 is fifteen days.
- On the current schedule the first installment is ₹9,12,100, payable "at the time of admission".
- Get the loan sanctioned before the merit list.
MBA (Executive), 2026-28 batch as published:
- Registration opened 10.03.2026; last date 16.07.2026.
- Personal interview, merit list and fee date: all communicated by email.
- Commencement 20.06.2026.
- One discrepancy, stated not resolved: the last registration date falls after the commencement date. Both are the institute's own figures — confirm which applies.
- The 2027-29 Executive calendar is not published.
How to apply, and what applying costs
two registrations, two payments — SNAP, then ₹1,000 per programme to SIBM Pune.
- SNAP: register at snaptest.org. ₹2,250 per test (SNAP 2025).
- SIBM Pune: register separately — "additional INR 1000/-" per programme, plus government taxes. SNAP alone does not register you here.
- Shortlist: on SNAP scores, announced as a web-link on sibm.edu. No individual regret letters.
- GE-PI: Group Exercise and Personal Interview, held entirely online.
- Merit list: on the website. Pay by the published date or the offer lapses.
Up to three SNAP tests are allowed and the highest score counts. One bad sitting is recoverable.
Keep ready, from the institute's own instructions:
- The authorised SNAP admit card — it must be produced to appear in the selection process.
- SNAP ID, registered name, email, phone with STD code, address with PIN code. Required in every correspondence.
- Self-attested copies of mark sheets and certificates — SIU rules require them to be accepted (Notification No. 1483, clause 3).
The institute's own caution: "if details are found incorrect then candidate will be disqualified or after securing admission, admission will be cancelled without assigning the reason."
- MBA (Executive): apply online for the 24-month programme; pay by credit card, debit card, NEFT or RTGS. No SNAP requirement.
- Contact: 020-28116008 / 76 / 77 · [email protected].
- The institute states applicants should refer to its website, and that no separate communication will be sent.
MBA fee structure: the full installment schedule
year one is ₹9,12,100 then ₹7,14,800 — ₹16,26,900 with hostel and mess — but that schedule belongs to the batch that started June 2026.
| Line item, batch 2026-2028 | Yr 1, inst. 1 | Yr 1, inst. 2 | Yr 2, inst. 1 | Yr 2, inst. 2 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Academic Fees | ₹6,55,000 | ₹6,55,000 | ₹6,55,000 | ₹6,55,000 |
| Institute Deposit (refundable) | ₹20,000 | — | — | — |
| Hostel Deposit (refundable) | ₹20,000 | — | — | — |
| Hostel Fees (three sharing) | ₹1,57,300 | — | ** | — |
| Mess Fees | ₹59,800 | ₹59,800 | ** | ** |
| Installment payable | ₹9,12,100 | ₹7,14,800 | ** | ** |
| Last date of payment | At the time of admission | 25-Nov-2026 | 25-Jun-2027 | 25-Nov-2027 |
The ** marks are the institute's own: not published yet, not nil.
- The table checks itself. ₹6,55,000 + ₹20,000 + ₹20,000 + ₹1,57,300 + ₹59,800 = ₹9,12,100. ₹6,55,000 + ₹59,800 = ₹7,14,800. Both match the printed installment row exactly.
- Which batch this is. Installment two falls due 25-Nov-2026 and installment four 25-Nov-2027, so the schedule belongs to the batch that commenced June 2026.
- A SNAP 2026 candidate joins on 2 June 2027 and pays the 2027-2029 schedule — not yet published.
- It must be out before 13 March 2027, the payment deadline. Treat these figures as a benchmark, not a quote.
Three statements on that page change your budget:
- The academic row says "Per Annum", yet ₹6,55,000 sits in all four installment columns.
- Only the per-installment reading makes the institute's totals add up. Get it confirmed in writing.
- Second-year hostel and mess are communicated before the next year commences, and can increase up to 15% each year.
- Government taxes are additional as and when applicable.
How fast it moves, comparing the institute's two published schedules:
- Academic fees ₹6,22,500 (batch 2025-2027) → ₹6,55,000: up 5.2%.
- Hostel ₹1,43,000 → ₹1,57,300: up 10.0%.
- Mess ₹52,000 → ₹59,800: up 15.0% — exactly the ceiling the schedule names.
- Those three percentages are our computed comparison, not figures the institute prints.
MBA (I&E) and MBA (Executive) fee structures
I&E is ₹3,50,000 cheaper over year one on the same campus; the weekend Executive MBA is ₹7,30,000 in total with no hostel line.
MBA (Innovation and Entrepreneurship), batch 2026-2028:
| Line item | Yr 1, inst. 1 | Yr 1, inst. 2 | Yr 2, inst. 1 | Yr 2, inst. 2 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Academic Fees | ₹4,80,000 | ₹4,80,000 | ₹4,80,000 | ₹4,80,000 |
| Institute Deposit (refundable) | ₹20,000 | — | — | — |
| Hostel Deposit (refundable) | ₹20,000 | — | — | — |
| Hostel Fees (three sharing) | ₹1,57,300 | — | ** | — |
| Mess Fees | ₹59,800 | ₹59,800 | ** | ** |
| Installment payable | ₹7,37,100 | ₹5,39,800 | ** | ** |
| Last date of payment | At the time of admission | 25-Nov-2026 | 25-Jun-2027 | 25-Nov-2027 |
- Checked the same way: ₹4,80,000 + ₹20,000 + ₹20,000 + ₹1,57,300 + ₹59,800 = ₹7,37,100, and ₹4,80,000 + ₹59,800 = ₹5,39,800.
- Year one is ₹12,76,900 — ₹3,50,000 below the flagship MBA.
- The whole gap is the academic fee. Hostel, mess and both deposits are identical to the rupee, because it is the same campus.
- But it is a different shortlist, a separate registration, and a cohort of 60.
MBA (Executive), batch 2026-28:
| Line item | Inst. 1 | Inst. 2 | Inst. 3 | Inst. 4 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Academic Fees | ₹1,80,000 | ₹1,80,000 | ₹1,80,000 | ₹1,80,000 |
| Institute Deposit (refundable) | ₹10,000 | — | — | — |
| Installment payable | ₹1,90,000 | ₹1,80,000 | ₹1,80,000 | ₹1,80,000 |
| Pay-by date | At the time of admission | 25-Nov-2026 | 25-Jun-2027 | 25-Nov-2027 |
- Adding the four printed installments: ₹7,30,000 in total — ₹7,20,000 of academic fees plus a ₹10,000 refundable deposit.
- The institute's note: "The fee is inclusive of examination and convocation, but it does not include the backlog examination fee."
- No hostel or mess line, because classes run on weekends.
- A separate schedule for batch 2025-27 is printed below it on the same page.
Hostel, mess and what the fee does not cover
only the three-sharing rate is published, and second-year rates print as ** with a 15% ceiling.
The full-time MBA is residential. Hostel is billed inside the installment schedule, not separately — which is why year one is ₹16,26,900 rather than the academic fee alone.
| Accommodation line, batch 2026-2028 | Amount | When |
|---|---|---|
| Hostel Fees (three sharing) | ₹1,57,300 | Year 1, first installment only |
| Mess Fees | ₹59,800 | Charged in both first-year installments |
| Hostel Deposit (refundable) | ₹20,000 | Year 1, first installment only |
| Year 2 hostel and mess | Printed as ** | Communicated before the year commences; can rise up to 15% |
| Double / tetra sharing rates | Not published | Ask before accepting the offer |
- The I&E schedule prints identical accommodation lines.
- Three blocks — New, Old and Annex — separate hostels for girls and boys, double, triple and tetra sharing rooms. Only three-sharing is priced.
- Shared university facilities: Central Library of SIU with EBSCO, Emerald, Scopus and JSTOR; Symbiosis Centre for Health Care; 25-metre swimming pool; cricket and football grounds; all-day cafeteria.
- Institute deposit: deductions for damaged lab equipment, computers, gadgets or lost library books (Notification No. 1483, clause 9).
- Hostel deposit: deductions for damaged fans, cupboards, glass panes, tables or chairs.
- Medical insurance premium: never refunded. SIU pays the insurer at provisional admission (clause 8).
- Cover continues for the policy year even if you cancel. Symbiosis Centre of Health Care: 9552525015, 24×7.
- Travel, laptop and personal spending: not published anywhere, so no number here. Lavale is outside Pune city — town trips are a recurring cost.
Total cost of the degree: how far the published figures go
no two-year all-in total exists, because the institute prints ** against second-year hostel and mess.
| What is published | Amount | How it is arrived at |
|---|---|---|
| MBA, year 1, all in | ₹16,26,900 | ₹9,12,100 + ₹7,14,800, both printed by the institute |
| MBA, two-year academic fees | ₹26,20,000 | The four printed academic-fee cells, added |
| MBA, year 2 academic fees | ₹13,10,000 | The two year-2 academic cells, added |
| MBA, year 2 hostel + mess | Not published | Printed as ** in the institute's schedule |
| MBA (I&E), year 1, all in | ₹12,76,900 | ₹7,37,100 + ₹5,39,800, both printed |
| MBA (I&E), two-year academic fees | ₹19,20,000 | The four printed academic-fee cells, added |
| MBA (Executive), whole programme | ₹7,30,000 | The four printed installments, added; includes ₹10,000 refundable deposit |
| Refundable on the MBA / I&E | ₹40,000 | ₹20,000 institute deposit + ₹20,000 hostel deposit |
- Every line reproduces the institute's own installment arithmetic. None multiplies one year by two.
- Plan year one at ₹16,26,900 all in.
- Plan year two at ₹13,10,000 of academic fees plus hostel and mess you confirm in writing.
- Year one's hostel and mess came to ₹2,76,900 (₹1,57,300 + ₹59,800 + ₹59,800). The institute caps the yearly rise at 15%.
- Add government taxes. Take ₹40,000 of deposits back at the end, assuming no damage deductions.
- Run it through the college fee EMI calculator against the median outcome, not the average and not the highest.
Refund, cancellation and withdrawal rules
cancel by 30 September and you get 100% of academic fees back; from 1 November you get only the deposits.
- Refunds follow SIU Notification No. 1483 dated 10 October 2024 — Rules for Refund of Fees and Non-Retention of Original Certificates.
- Approved by the Board of Management on 8 October 2024. Binds every SIU constituent.
- In force from AY2024-25 until UGC issues a revised policy.
| Cancellation of admission | Deduction | Refund |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 30 September | No deduction of fees | 100% of academic fees and refundable deposits |
| 1 October to 31 October | ₹1,000 processing charge | Academic fees and refundable deposits, less ₹1,000 |
| 1 November onwards | 100% deduction, per the UGC notification of October 2018 | Refundable deposits only |
1483, Part A, clause 6 (A1).
Where an admission schedule extends or commences beyond 31 October, the October 2018 UGC slab applies instead:
| Notice of withdrawal received | Refund of fees |
|---|---|
| 15 days or more before the notified last date of admission | 100%, less up to 5% of fees paid capped at ₹5,000 as processing charges |
| Less than 15 days before | 90% |
| 15 days or less after | 80% |
| 30 days or less, but more than 15 days, after | 50% |
| More than 30 days after | 0% |
1483, Part A, clause 6 (A2), reproducing the UGC Notification of October 2018.
The rules that catch people out:
- Hostel and mess are refunded after a proportionate deduction for the period actually used.
- For refund purposes the "last date of admission" is one day before the programme commences.
- Refunds are paid within 15 days of the written application, to the bank account given in the cancellation form.
- The university is not liable for delays caused by wrong bank details.
- Never refunded: the insurance premium, registration and administrative fees, and the IELA test fee for foreign nationals.
- Cancelled for indiscipline, ragging, substance abuse or a code-of-conduct breach: no fee refund, only deposits.
- Cancellation on grounds of ineligibility: pro-rata refund of academic, hostel and mess fees.
- Transfer to another SIU constituent before commencement: 100% of fees transfer; any difference is paid or adjusted.
- Transfer after commencement: proportionate academic, hostel and mess deductions first.
- The university cancels your admission itself for non-payment beyond one semester, or non-reporting beyond 30 days, without written intimation.
- Fees are charged in advance only for the coming semester or year — not for the whole programme.
Original certificates (clause 3):
- No constituent may insist on originals at application.
- Self-attested copies must be accepted.
- Originals are verified in your presence and returned immediately.
- Keeping them is "strictly prohibited for it is a coercive tactic which can be misused for black mailing students".
- Grievances: SIU (Redressal of Grievances of Students) Rules, 2023 — addressed within 30 days.
Cutoffs and shortlisting
there is no official SNAP cutoff — only a shortlist web-link on 19 January 2027, and a merit formula in which the test is worth half.
- SIBM Pune does not publish a SNAP percentile cutoff. It publishes a shortlist, as a web-link.
- Cutoff tables on aggregator sites are reconstructions from candidate reports, not institute data.
| Merit component (SNAP 2025) | Marks |
|---|---|
| SNAP score (out of 60, scaled down to 50 marks) | 50 |
| Group Exercise (GE) | 10 |
| Personal Interaction (PI) | 40 |
| Total | 100 |
- Shortlisting runs on overall SNAP percentile, calculated separately for each programme and each institute.
- The MBA and I&E shortlists are drawn independently. Being considered for both means two registrations and two payments of ₹1,000.
- A strong percentile gets you into the room and locks in half your merit score. It does not admit you.
- The interview carries four times the weight of the group exercise.
- A narrow shortlist clear plus a strong interview can finish above a higher SNAP scorer.
- Up to three SNAP attempts, highest counting.
- The paper: 60 questions, 60 minutes — General English 15, Analytical & Logical Reasoning 25, Quantitative/DI/DS 20.
- One mark each, 25% negative marking (SNAP 2025 official). Accuracy beats volume.
- Last completed cycle: shortlist declared 19 January 2026, GE-PI in two February 2026 phases. The 2027 equivalents are 19 January 2027 and 3–7 / 10–14 February 2027.
Placements: what is verifiable
the institute’s own report puts the median at ₹27.00 LPA for the batch of 2024-26; its NIRF submission records a more conservative ₹25,00,000.
| Placement report (batch) | Median CTC | Average CTC | Highest CTC | PPOs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CRP 2025 (2024-26) | ₹27.00 LPA | ₹28.18 LPA | ₹74.84 LPA | 132 |
| CRP 2024 (2022-24) | ₹26.04 LPA | ₹28.83 LPA | ₹53.58 LPA | 98 |
| CRP 2023 (2021-23) | ₹25.00 LPA | ₹28.16 LPA | ₹49.00 LPA | 96 |
- Every row is from the SIBM Pune official Placement Report for the year named.
- The average sits above the median every year, because a thin top tail pulls the mean up.
- CRP 2025 publishes that tail: top 10% ₹39.76 LPA · top 25% ₹33.84 LPA · top 50% ₹29.83 LPA.
- Plan on the median. The highest is one person.
- A second official source reports lower. NIRF medians for placed graduates: ₹25,00,000 (AY2023-24), ₹24,00,000 (AY2022-23), ₹20,80,000 (AY2021-22) — NIRF 2025 submission; ₹18,00,000 (AY2020-21) — NIRF 2024.
- The AY2023-24 NIRF median sits below the CRP 2024 median for the same cohort. Same institute, different reporting definitions. Treat NIRF as the conservative figure.
- NIRF supplies the denominator the placement reports omit: in AY2023-24, 247 students graduated in the minimum stipulated time and 239 were placed.
Campus and infrastructure
44.87 acres at Lavale, 13 classrooms and a Bloomberg lab — a hill campus outside Pune, not a city one.
| Facility | Count |
|---|---|
| Campus area | 44.87 acres |
| Classrooms | 13 |
| Seminar hall | 1 |
| Conference rooms | 2 |
| Auditorium (common) | 1 |
| Computer labs | 2 |
| Marketing lab | 1 |
| Bloomberg lab | 1 |
| Placement room | 1 |
| QIC room | 1 |
| Sick room | 1 |
| Gymnasium | 1 |
| Cafeteria | 1 |
| Stationery room | 1 |
| Playground | Basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, cricket ground |
- Thirteen classrooms against a sanctioned two-year PG intake of 300 is a small, contained teaching footprint.
- A Bloomberg lab is a checkable asset for anyone heading into finance, and one of the few infrastructure lines on an Indian B-school page that is not generic.
- The same page carries separate sections for Library, IT Infrastructure & Resources, Classroom, Accommodation, Auditorium, Cafeteria & Mess, Health Care, Sports Facilities and Recreational Facilities.
- The weekend MBA (Executive) is taught on this same campus, so the list applies to it too, minus the hostel.
- Address: Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Gram Lavale, Tal Mulshi, Pune 412115, Maharashtra. Admission enquiries: 020-28116008 / 76 / 77, [email protected].
What the two years look like
four semesters on a June-to-March year, a first week built as a team exercise, and 60% of your marks from continuous assessment.
| Academic year | Sem I teaching | Sem II teaching | Sem III teaching | Sem IV teaching |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MBA, AY2023-24 | 7 Jun – 25 Oct 2023 | 22 Nov 2023 – 13 Mar 2024 | 19 Jun – 26 Oct 2023 | 21 Nov 2023 – 20 Mar 2024 |
| MBA, AY2024-25 | 5 Jun – 18 Oct 2024 | 14 Nov 2024 – 14 Mar 2025 | 17 Jun – 18 Oct 2024 | 12 Nov 2024 – 20 Mar 2025 |
| MBA, AY2025-26 | 4 Jun – 7 Oct 2025 | 4 Nov 2025 – 15 Mar 2026 | 16 Jun – 7 Oct 2025 | 1 Nov 2025 – 20 Mar 2026 |
| MBA (I&E), AY2025-26 | 4 Jun – 16 Oct 2025 | 15 Dec 2025 – 23 Apr 2026 | 16 Jun – 16 Oct 2025 | 30 Oct 2025 – 24 Feb 2026 |
| MBA (Executive) June batch, AY2025-26 | 21 Jun – 9 Nov 2025 | 6 Dec 2025 – 19 Apr 2026 | 21 Jun – 9 Nov 2025 | 6 Dec 2025 – 19 Apr 2026 |
- Each teaching block is followed by a week of preparatory leave, then an exam window the institute marks as tentative.
- The pattern: teaching starts in June, semester one ends in October, semester two runs to mid-March. June and March are the two windows consistently blocked.
- Orientation: after the Director's address, students are divided into teams of twenty, each handed to two faculty members for a day of ice-breaking and team-building ending in a group task.
- Day two: a staged performance in two parts, one academic and one cultural.
- Next two days: outbound activities. Last two: experience-sharing by corporate executives and entrepreneurs, preferably alumni.
- Pedagogy: case studies, business simulations, guest lectures from corporate executives (largely alumni), field visits, and student-written alumni success stories that the institute publishes as books.
- Assessment: continuous assessment 60%, end-semester examination 40%. Internal core courses are 100% continuous assessment. Programme-outcome attainment weighs direct and indirect assessment 80:20 (SIBM Pune Outcome Based Education Manual, MBA).
- Continuous-assessment components are planned at the start of the semester and told to students then — worth knowing if you intend to travel during term.
Common mistakes that cost a seat or a fee
each of these is settled by a document you can open before you pay.
| Mistake | What it costs | The document that settles it |
|---|---|---|
| Registering for SNAP and assuming you have applied to SIBM Pune | You never enter the shortlist | Official How to Apply page: register separately, ₹1,000 per programme |
| Applying only to the MBA and expecting the I&E shortlist too | One shortlist instead of two | Cut-offs are calculated per programme and per institute |
| Budgeting from "Academic Fees (Per Annum) ₹6,55,000" | Roughly half the real academic bill | The institute's own installment totals, ₹9,12,100 and ₹7,14,800 |
| Treating year one × 2 as the two-year cost | An unfunded gap in year two | Year-2 hostel and mess print as ** and can rise up to 15% |
| Quoting the batch 2026-2028 fee as your own | A budget built on last year's schedule | Its 2nd installment falls due 25-Nov-2026 — that batch started June 2026 |
| Cancelling on 5 November instead of 29 September | 100% of academic fees | Notification No. 1483, Part A, clause 6 (A1), slab 3 |
| Preparing for SNAP and not for GE-PI | Half the merit score | SNAP 50 / Group Exercise 10 / Personal Interaction 40 |
| Surrendering original certificates to any institute | Leverage over your own withdrawal | Notification No. 1483, clause 3(v): retention is "strictly prohibited" |
| Missing 13 March 2027 after making the first merit list | The seat | SIBM Pune official Admission Calendar |

How SIBM Pune compares, by decision axis
compare on the axis that actually binds you, not on a league table.
- Same exam, same campus: SCMHRD Pune and SIIB Pune. Same SNAP, same merit split — choose on specialisation mix and cohort.
- Cost: JBIMS Mumbai and SIMSREE Mumbai admit via MAH MBA-CET at a far lower published fee.
- The trade-off: a different exam, domicile-weighted counselling, far fewer seats.
- Exam risk: the IIMs and MDI Gurgaon admit on CAT. SNAP is a separate December test with three attempts — real diversification.
- Profile fit: SPJIMR Mumbai runs its own process, weighs non-academic achievement and admits into specialisations directly.
- Same fee bracket: NMIMS Mumbai and Welingkar Mumbai. Compare year-one all-in: SIBM's ₹16,26,900 includes hostel and mess.
- Rankings: NIRF 2025 rank 11 in Management, score 67.90. Compare peers on that list, not across lists.
- Same rules across Symbiosis: SCMHRD and SIIB are SIU constituents too, so SIU Notification No. 1483 governs their refunds exactly as it does SIBM Pune’s.
- A transfer between SIU constituents before the programme commences moves 100% of fees across (clause 13).
- All management options: the management admissions hub.

Frequently asked questions
What is the SIBM Pune MBA fee for the 2027 intake?
Not published yet. The latest schedule, batch 2026-2028, charges ₹9,12,100 then ₹7,14,800 in year one — ₹16,26,900 including three-sharing hostel (₹1,57,300) and mess (₹59,800 per installment). That batch started in June 2026. A SNAP 2026 candidate joins on 2 June 2027 and pays the 2027-2029 schedule, which must be out before the 13 March 2027 payment deadline.
Does SIBM Pune accept CAT, XAT or MAH MBA-CET?
No. SNAP is the only published route to the MBA and MBA (I&E). As a constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), SIBM Pune admits on the university’s own test — no CAP round, no state quota. The MBA (Executive) has no entrance test at all: selection is by personal interview, with at least one year of full-time work experience after graduation.
What SNAP percentile do I need for SIBM Pune?
SIBM Pune does not publish one. It declares a shortlist as a web-link — for 2027, on 19 January 2027 at 4.00 pm. The cut-off is set separately per programme and per institute and has never been disclosed; aggregator percentiles are candidate-reported reconstructions. The published part is the merit formula: SNAP scaled to 50 marks, Group Exercise 10, Personal Interaction 40.
How many seats does SIBM Pune have?
MBA 240, MBA (I&E) 60, MBA (Executive) 90, per each programme’s official eligibility page. Within the intake: SC 15%, ST 7.5%, PwD 3%. Above the intake: 2 seats per programme for Kashmiri Migrants and Kashmiri Pandits or Hindu families in the Kashmir Valley, and 25% for International Students — so that quota does not reduce the 240 domestic MBA seats.
What are the SIBM Pune hostel and mess fees?
On the batch 2026-2028 schedule: hostel (three sharing) ₹1,57,300 for year one, mess ₹59,800 in each of the two first-year installments, and a refundable ₹20,000 hostel deposit. Year-two hostel and mess print as ** — unpublished — and can rise up to 15%. Double and tetra sharing rates are not published. Hostel is billed inside the fee because the MBA is residential.
What are the SIBM Pune admission dates for the 2027 intake?
SNAP 2026 registration closes 25 November 2026; SIBM Pune’s own, 12 December 2026. Tests: 13, 19 and 26 December 2026. Result: 12 January 2027. Shortlist: 19 January 2027, 4.00 pm. Slot booking: 20–24 January. GE-PI: 3–7 and 10–14 February 2027. First merit list: 26 February 2027. Fees due: 13 March 2027. Programme starts: 2 June 2027.
Can I get a refund if I cancel my SIBM Pune admission?
Yes — the date decides how much (SIU Notification No. 1483, 10 October 2024). Up to 30 September: 100% of academic fees and deposits. 1–31 October: the same, less ₹1,000. From 1 November: deposits only. Hostel and mess are refunded pro rata to the period used, the insurance premium never, and refunds are paid within 15 days of the written application.
What is the difference between the SIBM Pune MBA and the MBA (I&E)?
Fee, size and purpose. I&E academic fees are ₹4,80,000 per installment against ₹6,55,000, so year one is ₹12,76,900 against ₹16,26,900; hostel, mess and deposits are identical. It takes 60 students, not 240, launched in 2014, and centres on live start-up projects backed by the Symbiosis Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Shortlists are separate: two registrations, ₹1,000 each.
