DYPCOE publishes first-year engineering fees as institute PDFs. The figures below are transcribed from those PDFs, not from aggregators. Category rows that depend on scholarship or freeship still require the candidate to complete the online application named on the circular; the PDF states that ineligible students pay the OPEN amount.

AY2026-27 — First Year Engineering

What this sheet does not carry. There is no Management, Against-NRI or NRI column on the AY2026-27 category circular we opened. Do not invent those rows for 2026-27. For the previous year the institute did publish them — shown next so the gap is visible rather than papered over.

AY2025-26 — First Year B.Tech (tuition, development and quota seats)

OPEN moved from ₹1,35,000 (AY2025-26 tuition+development) to ₹1,49,689 (AY2026-27 including the printed other/SPPU head). Budget the written demand for the year and route you are allotted, not a flat copy of last year’s letter.

Hostel is a separate decision from the CAP seat. DYPCOE’s site carries an infrastructure / hostel page describing facilities, but the HTML capture used for this review did not expose a published rupee tariff for room rent, mess or deposit. Under this site’s sourcing rules that absence is left blank rather than filled from an aggregator.

Practical rule for choice filling: do not assume a hostel bed follows an allotment. Confirm availability and the written demand with the institute after you know the route, and keep an off-campus rent buffer until that confirmation exists. Compare how PICT Pune publishes capacity and charges side by side — that is the standard this page will match once DYPCOE’s own tariff is on record.

Read this as an estimate. The AY2026-27 category circular prints first-year heads. It does not state that the same total applies for every subsequent year. We will not silently multiply ₹1,49,689 × 4 and present it as the college’s figure.

If you are funding part of this with a loan, run the principal you actually expect to borrow through the college fee EMI calculator — it only computes on numbers you enter. Pair the fee line with a realistic living cost once hostel charges are confirmed.

Maharashtra rows below are Stage-I first Open-column closing merit numbers with the MHT-CET percentile in brackets. All-India rows use All-India merit numbers with the JEE Main score in brackets. Every figure is for institute 06272 (printed 6272 in 2023) on Akurdi pages only — not institute 6802 (a different Akurdi campus on some AI lists).

Home University Open (GOPENH) — CAP Round I 2023 (Maharashtra)

In 2023 the Maharashtra CAP list printed DYPCOE as Un-Aided with Home University allotment, not State Level. The first Open column is therefore GOPENH. Do not drop those merit numbers into the GOPENS series without the pool label.

How to use the series. Computer Engineering stayed in a high-97 / low-98 MHT-CET percentile band on State-Level Open from 2024 through 2026. Core branches moved more. For JEE All-India seats, use only the AI table — a 95 JEE score is not a 95 MHT-CET percentile. Build preference order from the pool you are actually eligible for, not from a single “Akurdi cutoff” forward.

DYPCOE’s Corporate Relations & Placement Cell publishes PDF lists titled for the passout batch. Those documents name students, branches and companies. They are useful evidence that named recruiters hired from the batch. They are not a substitute for average, median or percentage-placed tables.

What this means for a loan decision. A page that invents a “median around ₹4–6 LPA” without an institute table is fabricating. Ask the Training and Placement Cell in writing for branch-wise placed-versus-eligible counts and the median for the latest completed batch before you size EMI against an outcome number. For institutes that do publish medians, see VIT Pune and COEP — those pages cite the institute’s own summary sheets.

Until DYPCOE or the CET Cell publishes a 2026-27 matrix we have verified, the table below is the last complete official split. Use it for choice codes and approximate scale; confirm the live option-form codes before locking preferences.

Institute-level seats (216 on this matrix) are not CAP Round I allotments. They follow the institute’s published vacancy / ACAP process after CAP. Always match institute code 06272 and the full programme choice code — selecting the right college with the wrong branch code changes the preference.

Most avoidable seat losses happen after the merit is already good enough. The freeze / float / forfeiture rules are set by the Maharashtra State CET Cell Information Brochure for the admission cycle, not by DYPCOE. They apply to institute 06272 the same way they apply to PICT or VIT Pune.

Putting Computer Engineering at preference 1 is a commitment, not a wishlist item. If that is genuinely where you will enrol, it is correct. If you still want to compare a later float into another institute, do not place Akurdi CE first.

Document failures cost seats after allotment. Keep originals and photocopies ready before Round I. Category, EWS, TFWS and income certificates must match the financial year printed on the fee circular and the brochure for the cycle you are in.

Candidates weighing Pune private autonomous options usually put Akurdi next to PICT Pune and VIT Pune. Fee and placement comparisons only help when each figure has been verified on that institute’s own page. Cutoffs can be compared cleanly because PICT and Akurdi appear on the same CET Cell CAP Round I list.

What the merit gap means. PICT Computer Engineering closed about 7,000 merit places tighter than DYPCOE Computer Engineering on the same 2026 Round I Open list (929 vs 8066). Akurdi remained the more reachable computing seat of the two — an argument for listing it as a realistic preference, not a quality insult. The trade-off axes that actually differ are branch breadth (Akurdi still runs core branches PICT does not offer) and the fee / hostel evidence each institute publishes. For a core-branch aspirant, comparing Akurdi Mechanical or Civil with a specialist computing college is the wrong axis.

Also keep the engineering admission hub open while you build fallbacks below Akurdi — a list that only contains one Pune private college has no diversification when that institute’s cutoffs firm up.
