SCMHRD Pune at a glance
SCMHRD was established in 1993 as a constituent of what is now Symbiosis International (Deemed University), and sits on the Symbiosis Infotech Campus in Hinjawadi, Pune. It holds AACSB accreditation and was re-accredited in January 2025. Its full-time MBAs are two-year and residential and admit on SNAP; the MBA (Executive) runs on weekends for working professionals.
| Programme | Intake | Selection | Academic fee per instalment, 2026-28 |
|---|---|---|---|
| MBA (HR, Marketing, Finance, Operations) | 180 | SNAP + GE-PI | ₹6,45,500 |
| MBA (Infrastructure Development and Management) | 60 | SNAP + GE-PI | ₹3,89,000 |
| MBA (Business Analytics) | 90 | SNAP + GE-PI | ₹4,87,000 |
| MBA (Executive), weekends | 30 (2026-27) | Personal interaction; 1 year’s work experience | ₹1,53,275 (after a ₹40,000 first instalment) |
The core MBA specialises in human resources, marketing, finance or operations. Infrastructure Development and Management graduates of 2024-26 took roles such as supply chain consultant, project manager and logistics management trainee, and Business Analytics graduates roles such as data analyst, business analyst and technology consulting analyst. The Executive MBA meets on weekends for eight hours a day. SCMHRD is a member of CII, NHRD and SHRM.
Eligibility, seats and reservation
The three full-time MBAs need a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or Institution of National Importance with 50% marks, or 45% for SC and ST candidates, and a SNAP 2026 score; the SC/ST concession does not apply to international candidates.
| Item | MBA | MBA (IDM) | MBA (BA) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sanctioned intake | 180 | 60 | 90 |
| SC / ST / PwD, within intake | 15% / 7.5% / 3% | 15% / 7.5% / 3% | 15% / 7.5% / 3% |
| Kashmiri migrants and Kashmir Valley Pandit or Hindu families, above intake | 2 seats | 2 seats | 2 seats |
| International students, above intake | 25% | 25% | 25% |
International admissions are handled directly by the Symbiosis international students’ cell. The MBA (Executive) needs the same 50% degree and at least one year of full-time work after graduation in a registered firm, company, industry, educational, government or autonomous organisation; candidates take a personal interaction over Google Meet with document checks, and results follow within days.
The 2027 admission calendar
All three full-time MBAs share one calendar for the 2027-29 batch, but each holds its Group Exercise and Personal Interaction on different days.
| Stage | Date |
|---|---|
| SNAP 2026 registration and payment closes | 25 November 2026 |
| SCMHRD registration and payment closes | 12 December 2026 |
| SNAP 2026 tests | 13, 19 and 26 December 2026 |
| SNAP result | 12 January 2027 |
| SCMHRD shortlist | 21 January 2027 |
| GE-PI slot booking | 21–24 January 2027 |
| GE-PI, MBA (IDM) | 30–31 January 2027 |
| GE-PI, MBA | 2–4 and 9–12 February 2027 |
| GE-PI, MBA (BA) | 5–7 February 2027 |
| First merit list | 2 March 2027 |
| Last date to pay fees, first merit list | 16 March 2027 |
| Programme starts | 3 June 2027 |
The first instalment is due at admission, so a candidate on the first merit list has fourteen days to pay. The MBA (Executive) admits on a rolling basis instead: its 2026-28 registration ran from 27 November 2025 to 26 July 2026, and that batch started on 27 June 2026.
SNAP 2026 and the selection process
SCMHRD’s full-time MBAs admit only through SNAP. Applying takes two payments through the SNAP website: ₹2,550 for each SNAP attempt and ₹1,000 for each SCMHRD programme, both plus taxes. Paying only for SNAP does not put a candidate on any SCMHRD shortlist. A candidate may sit up to three SNAP tests, and the higher score counts.
| Section | Questions | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| General English | 10 | 10 |
| Analytical and Logical Reasoning | 20 | 20 |
| Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency | 20 | 20 |
| Ethics, Morality and Values | 10 | 10 |
| Total, in 60 minutes | 60 | 60 |
Each wrong answer costs a quarter of a mark. Shortlisting runs on the overall SNAP percentile, with a separate cut-off for each programme, and a candidate must attend every part of the Group Exercise and Personal Interaction (GE-PI) to stay eligible. No shortlisting percentile is published in advance; category-wise merit-list and wait-list cut-offs appear on the institute’s website after selection. The merit list is out of 100:
| Component | Marks |
|---|---|
| SNAP score, out of 60, scaled to 50 | 50 |
| Group Exercise | 10 |
| Personal Interaction | 40 |
