SIBM Nagpur at a glance
SIBM Nagpur is a constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), which holds a NAAC A++ grade and awards the degree. It runs on the university’s 75-acre, fully residential Nagpur campus near MIHAN, a special economic zone and industrial hub, and is a separate institute from SIBM Pune, with its own registration, seats, fees and merit list.
| Programme | Format | Intake | Academic fee, 2026-28 |
|---|---|---|---|
| MBA (Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, Business Analytics) | Two years, full-time, compulsory residential | 180 | ₹17,98,000 · Nagpur domicile ₹15,28,300 |
| MBA (Food and Agri Business Management) | Two years, full-time, residential | 60 | ₹12,08,000 · Nagpur domicile ₹10,26,800 |
| MBA (Executive) | Two years, weekends | 30 | Not published |
The MBA runs over four semesters and 100 credits, and students begin their specialisation from the first semester. Finance students work on a Bloomberg terminal. The agri MBA adds agricultural economics, agri supply chains, agri-input marketing, food safety and a project on APMC market operations to the management core. Both full-time programmes take any graduate with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST), with no work experience required; the weekend MBA (Executive) needs at least a year of full-time work after graduation and selects by personal interview.
Nagpur-domicile seats and the lower fee
A quarter of SIBM Nagpur’s intake is reserved for Nagpur-domiciled candidates, and those seats carry a lower academic fee: ₹3,82,075 an instalment against ₹4,49,500 for the MBA, and ₹2,56,700 against ₹3,02,000 for the agri MBA. The domicile fee is the regular ₹8,99,000 a year less a 15% concession of ₹1,34,850 for the MBA. Over two years the domicile MBA costs ₹15,28,300 and the domicile agri MBA ₹10,26,800.
| Condition | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Residence | Resident of Nagpur Urban for five years, continuous or intermittent, as on the start of the academic year |
| Education, either | A graduate of, or student at, Nagpur University |
| Education, or | Class 10 and 12 certificates from the Maharashtra State Board, CISCE, CBSE or ICSE |
| Not accepted | Class 10 and 12 certificates from other state boards or foreign school boards |
Both conditions must be met: residence alone does not qualify, and nor does a Nagpur University degree without the residence. The domicile seats are within the 180 and 60, not above them. Within the intake the usual Symbiosis reservations also apply: 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST and 3% for persons with disabilities.
2027 admission calendar
SIBM Nagpur registration and payment close on 20 January 2027, eight days after the SNAP result, and the batch starts on 1 June 2027. Its first merit list, on 18 February, comes about three weeks before SIBM Bengaluru’s on 10 March, and fees for it are due by 3 March.
| Step | Date |
|---|---|
| SNAP 2026 registration and payment close | 25 November 2026 |
| SNAP 2026 tests | 13, 19 and 26 December 2026 |
| SNAP result | 12 January 2027 |
| SIBM Nagpur registration and payment close | 20 January 2027 |

| Slot booking for GE-PI, shortlisted candidates only | 23–28 January 2027 |
| Group Exercise and Personal Interaction | 30 January–4 February and 6–11 February 2027 |
| First merit list | 18 February 2027 |
| Last date to pay fees, first merit list | 3 March 2027 |
| Programme begins | 1 June 2027 |
The MBA and the agri MBA share every date. A candidate who has sat SNAP can register for both programmes, paying ₹1,000 for each, and be considered for each on its own merit list. Admit cards for the three SNAP tests open on 7, 11 and 18 December 2026. The weekend MBA (Executive) runs its own cycle: in 2026 registration opened on 31 May, the shortlist came on 10 July, interviews were held on 17 July, the merit list followed on 24 July and classes began on 29 August. Candidates register online, are shortlisted on eligibility and are ranked on the interview score alone.
SNAP 2026 and the selection process
Applying takes two payments through the SNAP website: ₹2,550 for each SNAP attempt and ₹1,000 for each SIBM Nagpur programme, both plus taxes. Paying only for SNAP does not put a candidate on any SIBM Nagpur shortlist. A candidate may sit up to three SNAP tests, and the higher score counts.
| Section | Questions | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| General English | 10 | 10 |
| Analytical and Logical Reasoning | 20 | 20 |
| Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency | 20 | 20 |
| Ethics, Morality and Values | 10 | 10 |
| Total, in 60 minutes | 60 | 60 |
Each wrong answer costs a quarter of a mark. Shortlisting runs on the overall SNAP percentile, with a separate cut-off for each programme, and a candidate must attend every part of the Group Exercise and Personal Interaction (GE-PI) to stay eligible. No shortlisting percentile is published in advance; category-wise merit-list and wait-list cut-offs appear on the institute’s website after selection. The merit list is out of 100:
| Component | Marks |
|---|---|
| SNAP score, out of 60, scaled to 50 | 50 |
| Group Exercise | 10 |
| Personal Interaction | 40 |
