What LBSIM is
LBSIM is named after India’s second Prime Minister and received its first AICTE approval in its founding year. It began in RK Puram and now runs from Sector 11, Dwarka, next to the metro station. With no affiliating university, it awards postgraduate diplomas rather than degrees.
| Body | Status |

| NBA | PGDM General and PGDM Financial Management: accredited 1 July 2025 to 31 December 2025 and 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2028 · PGDM Research & Business Analytics: accredited for academic years 2023-24 to 2025-26, to 30 June 2026 |

Three PGDMs are listed as NBA-accredited, while NBA accreditation granted on 28 November 2025 covers PGDM General and Financial Management, and the Research & Business Analytics accreditation ran to 30 June 2026. On MBA equivalence, two readings are published for 2027: AIU equivalence for all four programmes, and for “3 PGDM programmes”.
PGDM (General) intake rose from 210 to 240 for 2026-27. It has run since 1995 and PGDM (AI & Data Science) since 2021. PGDM (E-Business) was approved for closure for 2026-27, with no intake, and applications for the Fellow Programme open in February 2027.
Admission route and eligibility, 2027-29
For the 2027-29 batch LBSIM accepts CAT 2026, XAT 2027 or a GMAT score taken between 1 January 2023 and 31 January 2027. Candidates are shortlisted on the test score, prior academic performance, work experience and the application, and shortlisted candidates take an extempore and a personal interview at the Delhi campus or online. The final selection weighs the CAT, XAT or GMAT score at 60% and prior academic performance, the extempore, the interview and work experience together at 40%; no split of the 40% is published.
Cut-offs are programme-specific, and no cut-off score was published for 2026-28; and results went to each candidate’s application dashboard on 13 March 2026. The IIMs have no role in LBSIM’s selection.

LBSIM’s hostel is charged on top of tuition, while IIFT Delhi’s Delhi fee includes boarding and lodging and FMS Delhi has no hostel of its own. In NIRF Management 2025 LBSIM sits in the 101–125 band and IIFT ranks 17th. LBSIM admits through CAT, XAT or GMAT; for other options, see our MBA admission guide.
