Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli Admission 2026: Cutoff, Fees & Placements

WCE publishes separate first-year B.Tech fee circulars for Aided and Un-Aided seats. The figures below are transcribed from the institute PDFs on Fees as per Authorities (DTE/FRA), not from aggregators. Concessions remain subject to government approval; the circulars state that any amount not reimbursed must be paid to the institute, and payment is through ERP only.

The unaided circular names these programmes: Robotics and Automation; Computer Science and Engineering; Information Technology; Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. It labels the sheet Interim Fees and states fees will revise as per FRA guidelines.

AY2025-26 — OPEN totals (for year-on-year context)

OPEN moved only marginally between those two years on both sheets. Budget the written demand for the year and the aided/unaided code you are allotted — not a blended “WCE average fee”.

WCE publishes a hostel admission circular for AY2026-27. The room and mess figures below are from that circular. The document’s audience line names S.Y./T.Y./Final Year B.Tech and diploma continuing students and opens ERP between 01/07/2026 and 06/07/2026 — so treat these as verified continuing-student tariffs, and confirm first-year hostel eligibility and any different demand letter with the Hostel Section after CAP allotment.

Practical rule: a CAP seat does not automatically mean a hostel bed. Keep an off-campus rent buffer until the Hostel Section confirms allotment and the written demand for your year.

Read this as an estimate. The aided and unaided circulars print first-year heads. They do not state that the same total applies for every subsequent year. The unaided sheet is explicitly interim pending FRA. We will not silently multiply and present the product as the college’s figure.

All Maharashtra figures below are State-Level Open (GOPENS) Stage-I closing merit numbers from the State CET Cell CAP Round I cut-off PDFs, with the printed percentile in brackets. Lower merit number means a tighter close. Aided and unaided rows are listed separately because they are different choice codes.

All-India seats on the CET Cell AI cut-off list use All-India merit number and JEE Main score in brackets — not MHT-CET percentiles. Aided programmes on the 2026 AI list for this institute were not present in the same way; the published AI closes below are the unaided U-suffix rows.

Historical closes are not 2027 guarantees. Compare on the same list with COEP, PICT and Vidyalankar (VIT Mumbai) rather than mixing percentiles across years.

Always lock the full choice code from the live option form. Aided CSE (0600724210) and unaided CSE (0600724270U) are different seats, different cutoffs and different fee circulars.

WCE first-year B.Tech seats for Maharashtra and All-India CAP move through the State CET Cell process. Institute-level vacancy rounds, if any, follow the institute’s published notifications after CAP. The sequence below is the counselling path that actually decides the seat — not a marketing funnel.

1. Entrance and registration. Appear for MHT-CET and/or JEE Main as required for the seat type you want, then complete CET Cell registration and document upload for the engineering cycle.
2. Option form. Add WCE programmes using full choice codes from institute 06007. Separate aided CSE/IT from unaided U-suffix rows if both are acceptable at their fee sheets.
3. CAP rounds. Read each allotment against freeze / float / slide rules in the CET Cell Information Brochure before you accept.
4. Fee payment. Pay the category total from the matching aided or unaided circular through the institute ERP, as the fee PDFs require.
5. Institute reporting. Carry the allotment letter and the document set named in the CET Cell brochure, plus any institute reporting checklist published for the year.
6. Hostel (optional, separate). Hostel admission is not automatic with CAP. Use the Hostel Section process; the AY2026-27 circular we opened is written for continuing students.

Documents checklist

If a claimed concession is not reimbursed, the fee circulars state the student must pay the institute — keep funds ready for the OPEN row until Social Welfare / scholarship status is confirmed in writing.

Most avoidable seat losses happen after the merit is already good enough. The freeze / float / forfeiture rules are published by the Maharashtra State CET Cell for the admission cycle, not by WCE. They apply to institute 06007 the same way they apply to COEP, PICT or Vidyalankar.

Build the preference list assuming you may be allotted any code you ranked — including an unaided CSE/IT row with the interim fee sheet — then freeze only when that package is acceptable.

Candidates who miss the very top Pune/Mumbai government closes often shortlist WCE Sangli next to COEP Pune and PICT Pune. Compare on axes, not vibes.

Also weigh Vidyalankar (VIT Mumbai) and DY Patil Akurdi if Mumbai/Pune private autonomous computing is the real preference — those pages carry their own CAP codes and fee PDFs.
